eAssist Spotlight- Barbara Fairchild

Barbara Fairchild just celebrated her one year anniversary with eAssist, but her experience in the dental field goes much further back. She has many years of hands-on experience in dental claims management and appeals. For her, dental billing is vital for the financial health of a dental practice. Dentists need to be able to count on the cash flow from the services they have rendered and expect to be reimbursed in a timely manner.

Her jump to eAssist came from a desire to do something from home that would allow her to enjoy more time with her family. She had heard good things about eAssist and all the support they offer to their contractors. With dental management being her expertise, she felt it would be a wonderful opportunity to continue being productive in her career while gaining a little bit more freedom and flexibility.

Since joining eAssist, she has gained just that. She says her favorite aspect is, “Being able to work from my own home office and customize my hours to fit my personal life. I am also impressed with the positive feedback and the continuing education requirements needed to stay current with coding and insurance limitations. It is very reassuring to know that eAssist has systems in place to help us do the best job we can do for our clients.”

Victoria, Barbara’s Team Leader, only has great things to say about her. “She works hard at delivering brand promises and recently stepped in a messy situation that she has made so much progress on in a matter of days. She has a lot of great potential, believes in the eAssist Way and deserves to have the spotlight shown on her.”

An interesting fact about Barbara is she took a few years off from the dental office and became a Certified Technology Instructor for Patterson Eaglesoft. She loved this time in her career as she was given assignments that involved traveling around North America to work with dentists and their teams in their own environment. She could have been on the east coast for one week, then off to the west coast for the following week. It was always exciting to see so much of the United States and work with so many interesting people.
