News and Updates to Insurance Company Changes as of January 1, 2016

Dominion Dental Services, a leading dental insurer and administrator of dental and vision benefits in Alexandria, VA announced that they have acquired DentaQuest Mid Atlantic and DentaQuest Virginia.

Upon contacting them about claims sent to DentaQuest just prior and now, there will be a delay to process those claims up to three months in some situations as they absorb the 90,000 members into the system.

DentaQuest and Advantage Dental to partner soon.  If approved, it will result in DentaQuest acquiring a majority stake in Advantage Dental, a leading dental care organization in Oregon.

These mergers how great for the companies and hopefully the patients will result in delays in adjudicating dental claims however.
