Re-Credentialing Nightmare with United Healthcare

Our office was undergoing re-credentialing issues with United Healthcare. We had over $16,000 in aged claims for one provider with United Healthcare. United Healthcare kept denying our providers claims stating he was out of network. I called Careington who informed me that this provider was in network effective 2/1/19. I called United Healthcare again and after spending hours on the phone with provider relations I was told there was nothing they could do. Their records did not reflect the information Careington was providing me. I called two to three times a week for six months trying to get a rep that would help. I finally called Careington and demanded they stay on the call with me while I contacted Provider Relations at United Healthcare. After a long phone call with both sides, United Healthcare finally found the paperwork that Careington had been sending to them demanding payment for us. Once it was all said and done, United Healthcare paid all of the providers claims as well as $1400 in interest for late payment.
